At GHD, as Technical Director of Network Innovation, Ian supports and develops the societal needs for energy and decarbonisation, transforming processes to bring about new ideas, methods, products, services, and solutions that have a significant positive impact and are a vital step towards our clean energy future.

Previously, with Northern Powergrid Ian led development and delivery of business and new technology innovation projects. Then, having led the Siemens Technical programme of works and microgrid Solutions business, he provided executive consulting for the smart infrastructure division.

Former Director within the Bank of Scotland’s joint venture team, leading equity and debt investment across Germany and Eastern Europe, with over 20 years of investment banking experience.

Founder and owner of Kintyre investments, a European based Real Estate investment and management business. Paul is a Business and industrial advisor, engaged in several large scale sustainable manufacturing projects and leading on the development of the UK’s largest green chemical and energy park.

A Chartered Surveyor with over 35 years experience in Residential/Commercial property and Renewable Energy, from Solar PV and Battery Storage schemes, through to individual dwellings and Grid Scale projects.

His recent focus has expanded into EV Charging, assisting in site identification in addition to small scale wind turbine projects. With a broad experience across a number of technologies, Alan is well placed to develop cost effective fit for purpose strategies for all clients.
